Guillaume Groen is a photographer based in Hoorn, The Netherlands. He is always searching for answers. All of his personal projects are funded by questions that puzzled him. His main inspiration are photographers like Carl de Keyzer, Martin Parr, Lauren Greenfield amongst others
For human exhibition he was curious about the people that come to exhibitions. Every exhibition is different and has it’s specific visitors. If you would go to de Woonbeurs (A Trend and lifestyle fair about interior design) you’ll find young and modern people, But if you would go to the AutoRai (the main Automobile fair in the Netherlands) you will find primarily guys with beer belly’s looking at all the cars that are there.
There are more personal projects that he wants to do but time is the main obstacle. But he has a lot of ideas.
Guillaume shoots with a Canon 5d MkII but the camera is a bit to obvious and would like to have a smaller and lighter kit for shooting projects like human exhibition. He would like to have a Leica M9 one day but does not have the budget at the moment. (maybe someone wants to sponsor him one)
Besides personal projects he loves to shoot a variety of projects for clients (Commercial and Editorial). Portraits (also social media), Event registration, Reportage, Corporate Storytelling, are a few of the possibilities.
For his personal projects he specializes in documenting the social landscape and searching for answers to questions not only he has. He is working on multiple projects.
For his commercial and editorial assignments he can shoot a variety of projects, please contact him for more information or a quote.
His work was also on show please look if he has a current show somewhere nearby.
